These Terms & Conditions apply when an athlete, parent/guardian or other customer books or participates in a Netball Revolution service. By completing a booking, the person making the booking confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and, where the athlete is under 18, has authority to accept them on the athlete’s behalf. 

 

Netball Revolution's priority is the physical, psychological and emotional safety of every athlete. Performance or training outcomes will never take priority over an athlete's safety, dignity or wellbeing. 

 

1. Bookings and payment 

• All sessions and programs must be booked and paid for in advance through Netball Revolution’s designated booking platform unless another arrangement has been approved in writing. 

• Payment confirms the booking and reserves the athlete’s place, subject to these Terms & Conditions. 

• Bookings are personal to the athlete named in the booking and may not be transferred to another athlete without Netball Revolution approval. 

 

2. Cancellations or changes by Netball Revolution 

Netball Revolution may cancel, relocate or reschedule a session because of coach illness, facility issues, safety concerns or other circumstances outside reasonable operational control. Where Netball Revolution sessions are being held outdoors, it is the discretion of Netball Revolution management as to whether the session progresses in inclement weather.  The safety of players and coaches will be our first priority.   

 

Where Netball Revolution cancels a session and cannot provide a reasonable replacement, the customer will be offered an alternative session, credit or refund for the affected service, as appropriate. Nothing in this section limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 

 

3. Athlete cancellations - individual and group sessions 

Our programs regularly reach capacity and places may be unavailable to other athletes once a booking is confirmed. To allow reasonable time to offer a cancelled place to another athlete: 

• A cancellation made at least 72 hours before the scheduled session is eligible for a refund, less the $25 administration fee. 

• A cancellation made less than 72 hours before the scheduled session is not eligible for a change-of-mind refund. 

• Where a refund is required by the Australian Consumer Law, the administration fee and cancellation restrictions in this section do not remove those rights. 

 

4. Rescheduling 

Netball Revolution is happy to accommodate reasonable rescheduling requests where capacity allows. Requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session. Rescheduling is subject to coach, program and facility availability and is not guaranteed. Requests received inside 48 hours may be treated as a late cancellation. 

 

5. Non-attendance and late arrival 

• If an athlete does not attend without prior notification, the session is forfeited and no change-of-mind refund or make-up session will be provided. 

• Athletes should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled start time. 

• Where an athlete arrives late, Netball Revolution may be unable to extend the session because another booking may follow. Missed time due to late arrival cannot be rescheduled or refunded. 

 

6. Multi-week programs 

Multi-week programs are sold as a set program over specified dates. Individual missed sessions cannot ordinarily be made up, credited or transferred. 

To withdraw from a multi-week program and receive a change-of-mind refund, notice must be provided at least 72 hours before the program commences. A $25 administration fee applies. Once the program has commenced, no change-of-mind refund will ordinarily be provided. Netball Revolution may consider exceptional circumstances at its discretion, and this does not affect rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 

Program fees are not pro-rated because an athlete chooses or is unable to attend only part of a multi-week program, except where required by law or expressly agreed by Netball Revolution. 

 

7. Age, eligibility and program suitability 

Netball Revolution may apply age, experience, skill or other eligibility requirements to a program where reasonably necessary for safety, developmental appropriateness, group design or program objectives. Requirements will be stated in the booking information. Netball Revolution may decline a request to waive an eligibility requirement where doing so would compromise the intended program structure or safety. 

 

8. Waitlists and program capacity 

Group programs are capped to protect coaching quality, safety and athlete experience. Bookings are generally accepted on a first-come, first-served basis unless the program has stated selection or eligibility criteria. Where a program is full, athletes may join a waitlist. Netball Revolution is not required to exceed the advertised capacity to accommodate additional athletes. 

 

9. Athlete health, injury and medical information 

• An athlete or parent/guardian must disclose any injury, illness, medical condition, allergy or other information that is reasonably relevant to safe participation before the session begins, and update Netball Revolution if circumstances change. 

• Athletes must tell their coach if they become injured, unwell, dizzy, distressed or otherwise unable to participate safely during a session. 

• Netball Revolution may modify or stop an athlete’s participation where a coach reasonably believes continuing may create an unacceptable safety risk. 

• If relevant medical information was not disclosed and the coach becomes aware of it after training has commenced, Netball Revolution may stop the athlete’s participation for the remainder of the session while the safety issue is addressed. 

• For significant injuries, suspected concussion or illness, Netball Revolution may require appropriate medical clearance before the athlete returns to training. 

 

10. Injuries, inherent sporting risk and emergency care 

Netball involves physical activity and carries inherent risks of injury even when reasonable care is taken. Athletes and parents/guardians acknowledge these ordinary sporting risks. Netball Revolution will take reasonable steps to provide services with due care and skill and to manage foreseeable safety risks. 

In an emergency, Netball Revolution may provide first aid and contact emergency services where reasonably considered necessary. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the athlete’s parent/guardian or emergency contact as soon as practicable. 

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any consumer guarantee, duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 

 

11. Athlete, parent/guardian and visitor safety 

• Athletes, parents/guardians, siblings and visitors must follow reasonable safety directions given by Netball Revolution coaches or staff. 

• Athletes must wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the activity. 

• Parents/guardians and siblings must remain in the designated waiting area unless invited into the training area by a coach or staff member. 

• For group sessions, parents/guardians must not position themselves outside the designated area to observe other people’s children training. 

• Parents/guardians, siblings and visitors must not use Netball Revolution training equipment unless expressly permitted. 

 

12. Photography, video and digital media 

• Netball Revolution may photograph or record sessions for coaching, education, marketing or promotional purposes only in accordance with its applicable privacy, child-safety and media requirements, and where a media release has been obtained. 

• For athletes under 18, Netball Revolution will seek appropriate parent/guardian consent before intentionally using an identifiable child’s image or video for promotional or publication purposes. A child’s wishes will also be respected. 

• Parents/guardians must not photograph or record other people’s children during Netball Revolution-controlled training or activities unless Netball Revolution has expressly authorised the activity and all required consents are in place. 

• Parents/guardians may photograph or record their own child only where Netball Revolution permits it and where other children are not captured. 

• No photography or recording is permitted in toilets, change areas, treatment spaces or other areas where privacy is reasonably expected. 

 

13. Privacy 

Personal and health information provided to Netball Revolution will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and Netball Revolution’s Privacy Policy. Information may be shared with coaches, first aiders, healthcare practitioners or emergency services where reasonably necessary for an athlete’s safety. 

 

14. Code of Conduct and child safety 

Netball Revolution is committed to a respectful, supportive, inclusive and child-safe training environment. Athletes, parents/guardians, siblings and visitors must comply with the Netball Revolution Code of Conduct and reasonable child-safety requirements. 

Behaviour involving violence, abuse, bullying, harassment, discrimination, sexualised conduct, grooming, intimidation, serious disrespect, threats to safety or significant disruption may result in immediate protective action, including removal from a session or venue while the matter is assessed. 

 

15. Breaches, suspension and refusal of service 

Netball Revolution may issue directions, warnings, behaviour conditions, suspend participation, remove a person from a session or venue, or refuse future service where this is reasonably necessary because of a breach of these Terms & Conditions, the Code of Conduct, safety requirements, or conduct that materially affects the safety, comfort or wellbeing of athletes, families, coaches or staff. 

Where practicable and appropriate, Netball Revolution will explain the reason for the decision and provide an opportunity for the affected person to respond. Serious safety or child-protection concerns may require immediate interim action before a final decision is made. 

Any refund following suspension, termination or refusal of service will be considered having regard to services already provided, costs already committed, the circumstances of the matter and any rights that apply under the Australian Consumer Law. Removal for misconduct does not automatically result in forfeiture of all unused fees. 

 

16. Concerns and complaints 

Concerns should be raised directly and respectfully with Netball Revolution. Child-safety concerns may be raised immediately with any coach or Director and will be taken seriously, documented and escalated where required. Nothing in these Terms prevents a person from contacting Police, Child Safety, the Queensland Family and Child Commission, Blue Card Services, a regulator, legal adviser or support service where appropriate. 

 

17. Australian Consumer Law 

These Terms & Conditions operate subject to the Australian Consumer Law. Consumer guarantees that apply to services cannot be excluded by these Terms. Where a service has a failure that gives rise to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, Netball Revolution will provide the remedy required by law. Change-of-mind cancellation rules do not override those statutory rights. 

 

18. Acceptance and updates 

Netball Revolution may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applying to a booking will ordinarily be the version made available at the time of booking, unless a change is required by law or is necessary to address an immediate safety issue. Material changes affecting an existing booking will be communicated where reasonably practicable. ​
